Stewie Griffin has had a myriad of gadgets and inventions come to fruition throughout the course of Family Guy’s run. Here is a list of the things he has created and the mark they left on society.

Laser Pistol and Mind Control Device

At the very beginning of the show, Stewie was introduced as a rugrat hell-bent on the domination of Earth. In “Death Has a Shadow”, Stewie is shown with a laser pistol between two pieces of bread in an ill-conceived attempt at slaying his mother. He is later seen saving the Griffin family by using a mind control device to sway a judge into letting Peter go from incarceration.

Weather Controlling Device

In “I Never Met the Dead Man”, Stewie takes a hatred to the vegetable known as broccoli. He decides to use his complicated device that harbors the power to manipulate the weather in order to ruin the harvest of all broccoli in Quahog. In the process, Meg runs over and murders William Shatner due to the storm.

Freeze Gun

Living Walt Disney’s wildest dreams, Stewie concocts a device that allows for you to freeze a human being for a period of years. This is seen in the episode “Chitty Chitty Death Bang”, where Stewie freezes a security guard in carbonite for ten years.

Hypnosis Gadgets

Stewie has several devices that can hypnotize the unwilling public, seen in both “Brian Does Hollywood” and “The Story on Page One”. In “Brian Does Hollywood”, Stewie uses a hypnotizing ray to convince the masses to do his bidding. He fails in his efforts and is belittled by Bill Cosby on television instead. In “The Story on Page One”, he controls Chris to do his bidding, which goes the way of the dodo thanks to a microwave oven, of all things.

Robo-Peter and Cell-sized Ship

In a fit of jealous rage, Stewie wants to be the baby forever by keeping Peter and Lois from having sex to reproduce. He starts out by creating a robot to replace Peter in bed, which goes by the wayside. When things take an ill turn for the worse in his efforts, he goes into Peter’s body via a tiny spaceship that can travel through Peter’s body unharmed and combats the potential new baby, Bertram. His mission is a success.

Doppelganger Robots

When Stewie decides to find out who his real father is, he enlists the help of Brian as they go on a patented road trip. So they will not be missed during their away-time, Stewie builds a pair of robots that closely resemble the two of them. Robot Stewie’s mannerisms are pitch-perfect, but Brian’s is through the looking glass of Stewie, proclaiming to be a tool.

Time Machines

Family Guy features several time machines made by Stewie, the first of which appears in the episode “Mind Over Murder”. While the Griffin household is burning to the ground after Peter opens up a pub down in the basem*nt, Stewie’s newfangled time machine – the blueprints of which were previously ridiculed by those in the bar – manages to go back in time and save the family from destruction. He also accidentally transported Mort Goldman to war-time Warsaw in “Road to Germany” for a brief encounter with Hitler. Brian and Stewie have traveled back in time to revisit the pilot episode in “Back to the Pilot”.

Multiverse-Traversing Device

In “Road to the Multiverse”, Stewie creates a device that allows both Stewie and Brian to take a trip into multiple different universes, such as where everything looks as though it were animated by Walt Disney’s studios, or where dogs are humans and humans are dogs. This could be viewed as Stewie’s greatest invention ever.

Particle Transportation Device

In “Not All Dogs Go to Heaven”, Stewie becomes infatuated with getting the entire cast of Star Trek: The Next Generation in one place at one time. He successfully recreates the device from the show and beams all of the cast members to his house, but soon realizes that he bit off more than he can chew due to their childish antics, including complicated drive-thru orders at McDonald’s.

Simulation Machine

Mocking the easy way out whenever a particular episode goes too deep in destroying its canon, Stewie builds a simulation machine that predicts the outcome in various situations. For “Stewie Kills Lois” and “Lois Kills Stewie”, the machine shows what the world would look like after both acts. Brian openly criticizes him, as this is a generally loathed television tactic, also known as a dream sequence.

Cloning Device

Stewie has also concocted a machine that allows him to clone other living beings (including dogs), but uses it for the laziest and easiest of deeds. Creating Bitch-Stewie and Bitch-Brian, the two are a little slow in the head and dissolve over time, but are adequate for running errands and hanging out with people that Stewie and Brian do not want to hang out with.

Rocket Skis with Transforming Habitat

In “Road to Rupert”, Stewie creates a pair of rocket-propelled skis that allow him and Brian to cheat at the race to get Rupert back. These skis not only allow the duo to cheat, but also create a house in which can keep Stewie warm from the blistering cold, complete with a butler to fetch him tea.
