1996, at Mercer County Hospital, Aledo, after a motorcycle accident near New Boston, Ill. He retired in 1985 after 22 years as a sales representative at W. W. Grainger and then worked at Republic Automotive Co. and as a car salesman at Kimberly Chrysler.

He was born Sept. 29, 1926, in Davenport. He married Lois Dietz in 1964 in Erie, Ill. He served from 1945-46 as a fireman first class in the Navy. Memorials may be made to the family.

Murray, 91, of Davenport, passed away Friday, July 5, 1996, at Genesis Medical Center-East Campus. Masonic funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday, July 8, 1996, at the Runge Mortuary.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Mr. Murray was born Dec.

31, 1904, in Parsons, a son of Charles and Magdalen Rissler Murray. He was united in marriage to Velma Johnson July 11, 1932, in Huntsville, Mo. She preceded him in death June 27, 1991. Mr. Murray was employed as a firefighter for the City of Davenport for 27 years, retiring in 1956.

He then owned and operated a cabinet shop in Davenport for many years. He was a member of Davenport Masonic Lodge 37, AF AM, the Scottish Rite and the Kaaba Shrine. He enjoyed listening to music, gardening and was a ham radio operator. Survivors include children, Roger A. Murray and Sheila Foley, Davenport; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren, all of Davenport; and a brother, Lawrence Murray, Gresham, Ore.

Phillip Killian lian, 52, of Davenport, passed away Wednesday, July 3, 1996, at his home. The body is to be cremated. The Runge Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the family, Mr. Killian was born Aug.

18, 1943, in Rock Island, a son of William and Ruth Killian. He married Robyn Killian March 16, 1996, in Davenport. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He had been employed as a cement finisher in the Quad-City area.

He was a member of the Cement Mason's Union Local 544, the Davenport Valley Archers Association and the Izaak Walton League. In his spare time, he enjoyed archery, fishing, hunting, buckskinning rendezvouses and had lots of friends. Survivors include his wife, Robyn Killian, Davenport; his mother, Ruth Killian, Phoenix; a son, Scott Killian, Minneapolis; a brother, Dave Killian, Davenport; sisters, Kerri Laird, Philipsburg, Kathy Hall, Des Moines, and Sharon Bloore, Phoenix. Friends are invited to a gathering on Saturday, Aug. 17, 1996, at 1 p.m.

She was a homemaker. Mary Dougherty was born March 4, 1903, in Davenport. She married Louis Weisbrook in 1929 in Davenport. He died in 1957. Memorials may be made to Genesis Visiting Nurse Association Hospice Care.

David Gray DAVENPORT Memorial services for David E. Gray, 43, of Davenport, will be 10 a.m. Monday at Holy Family Catholic Church, Davenport. Military rites will be conducted with burial at sea.

Mr. Gray died July, 2, 1996, in Little Rock, Ark. Halligan-McCabe Funeral Home, Davenport, is in charge of arrangements. He retired in 1991 as chief petty officer in San Francisco after 20 years service in the Navy. He was born April 21, 1953, in Wichita, Kan.

He married Debra Arias in 1976 in Bonita, Calif. During the Vietnam War, he served in the Navy. Memorials may be made to an education fund for his children. He retired in 1981 as a carpenter employed 26 years in maintenance at the Administrative Center of Deere Moline, and earlier as a construction foreman for several area firms. He was born March 23, 1924, in Chariton, Iowa. He married Katherine Koehler in 1948 in Rock Island. During World War II, he served in the Army. He participated in the Rome-Arno Campaigns and received the European-AfricanMiddle Eastern Theater Ribbon with two bronze stars.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Linda Brammann, Davenport; a son, Fred Holt; seven grandchildren; and a sister, Marjorie Dyall, Mount Pleasant, Iowa. She was employed as a registered nurse many years at the former Jane Lamb Hospital, Clinton, Cook County Hospital in Illinois and retired in 1974 from San Mateo County (Calif.) General Hospital. Ann Bjornas was born Dec. 8, 1909, in Enderlin, N.D. She married Arnold Heinemann in 1939 in Clinton. He died in 1958.

Services and burial were June 10 in Sand Springs. Mobley-Dodson Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements. He was born Dec. 26, 1917, in Davenport, the son of George and Mary Mehan Davies. He married Dorothy Meleus June 10, 1956, in Palatine, Ill.

Mr. Davies was employed by French Hecht, Davenport, and by: the General Service Administra tion, Kansas City, as a quality control inspector.
