EAGAN, Minn. – The Vikings signed receiver N’Keal Harry on Sunday after he participated in a workout at Twin Cities Orthopedics Performance Center.
Initially a first-round draft pick in 2019, Harry most recently played for the Bears in 2022. He had ankle surgery last August but rehabbed and returned to record seven catches for 116 yards and a touchdown on nine targets for Chicago.
Harry joins a Vikings receivers room that also features three other players who were drafted in a first round. Justin Jefferson (2020) and Jordan Addison (2023) were selected by Minnesota. Jalen Reagor (drafted by Philadelphia in 2020 a spot ahead of Jefferson and acquired via trade last year) is the other former first-round pick.

Here are five things to know about Harry:
1. Began with Brady
The Patriots selected Harry 32nd overall in 2019. In three seasons for New England, he appeared in 33 games (18 starts) and totaled 57 catches for 598 yards and four touchdowns. He was targeted 103 times.
After opening his rookie season on Injured Reserve, Harry was designated for return and made his NFL debut on Nov. 17, 2019, catching three passes from Tom Brady.
The duo connected again the following week for Harry's first career touchdown, a 10-yard reception against Dallas for an early lead in a 13-9 win by New England.

2. Former Sun Devil
Harry shined at Arizona State, where over three seasons he racked up 213 catches for 2,889 yards and 22 touchdowns.
In 2018, he started 12 games but chose to forego ASU's bowl game to begin preparing for the draft. He finished his final collegiate season with 73 receptions for 1,088 yards and 10 touchdowns. Harry also had nine punt returns for 152 yards and a touchdown.
He received First-Team All-Pac 12 honors as a receiver and was a Second-Team selection as a return specialist.
Harry started all 37 games he played for the Sun Devils.
3. From Canada to the Caribbean to Phoenix
After being born in Toronto, Ontario, Harry moved as a baby with his family to the Caribbean country of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
He later relocated with his grandmother to Arizona, where he grew up just outside of Phoenix.
He was a five-star recruit coming out of Chandler High School, which he represented in the Under Armour All-American game. Harry also played in the International Bowl on the U.S. U19 National Team, which he led with five catches for 75 yards and two touchdowns in a victory over Team Canada.
In 2019, numerous family members traveled to the States to see Harry be drafted into the NFL.
4. Unbreakable bond
Harry is incredibly close to his grandmother Felna, who essentially raised him from the time he was 4 years old.
Felna got Harry involved in sports after moving to Arizona and worked to establish a life for the two of them. According to a 2019 ESPN article, Felna often worked two different jobs and "there were times [Harry] wouldn't see her for three or four days at a time because she'd have only hours between jobs to rest.
"I really do believe that it was for the best for my grandma raising me," said Harry, who also still maintains a relationship with his mother. "That woman taught me so much, everything from having very good manners to how to speak to people, how to speak well, how to speak fluently. I'm just thankful."
5. Harry can hoop, too
Harry played multiple sports growing up and especially excelled in football and basketball.
On the hardwood, he averaged 21 points and 10 rebounds per game throughout his time on the Chandler varsity team.
Basketball continues to be a love of Harry's.
